Now that the weather is getting cold and all and Xmas is approaching...what traditions or plans does everyone have with their dolls?? This ismy first holiday season of having them and was just curious what everyone likes to do. I am going to get my dolls a tree to put in their house.., and maybe some minature decor.
I would love to hear what everybody likes to do.

Cool topic!
I've never had an AG Christmas tree before, but I really want to try to do one this year. It does sounds like a neat tradition to start, huh?
But then, what's a tree without presents under it? Eeek! I'll probably end up making something for each of my girls, since the Sam stories highlight the specialness of homemade gifts. Plus it should be a little cheaper! Hmm... now to think of what to make!

I set them up about two weeks ago in a holiday display-with the "hanukah accessories." I think I want to get Coconut's Christmas tree so that we can have both holidays.
Madeline Rae (Marisol) is Jewish-so she is decked out with the Hanukah outfit and accessories besides her.
I'm sure I'll have time to take pictures this weekend.

I made an AG Christmas tree when I was 9, and I decorate it every year, and I dress the girls for Christmas! I also try to give each doll one day of my undivided attention in the run up to the big day

haha, I used to make little stockings for my all the AG dolls in our house, and fill them early Christmas morning with little things I had made, like yarn dolls and pencils I had sharpened down to "doll-sized." Then I would make a big production of them waking up on Christmas to see their stockings. My family thought it was silly, but I had a blast. I wasn't allowed to open my own stocking until everyone was awake, so it was a way to avoid temptation and keep myself occupied.

All my dolls are in winter coats and outfits right now. And I'll change them to festive dresses in December. If I have time Xmas eve (It's a busy night for Santa's helpers! ) I'll change them into nighties and PJs because I love Xmas morning with everyone hanging around in PJs for as long as we can!!
I am going to make an AG advent "calendar" again. Last year, I wrapped up all the bits and pieces to several outfits individually and every day my daughters got to open a package each. Each day they would get just a part of the outfit like the shoes or hat or whatever. It was a lot of fun for them (and me, too) and they are wanting me to do it again!

I've only been collecting for about 3 years now but each Christmas so far I just change the dolls into holiday outfits and take pictures of them with their tree and my full size tree and post them on my website. I change my Christmas decor every year and right now I am only starting to get my decorations for this year. Still deciding on my color scheme for this year.

I actually just set up an AG display yesterday. It's my first doll holiday display! Normally my AG's just sit on my bed ! I'm actually pretty happy with my display, and I took a ton of pictures (with a storyline)! So, be prepared for pictures on the first of December (as long as I can figure out why my stupid computer isn't letting me use Imagestation)!
